The Snowdon

LLANDUDNO

Welcome to the Snowdon

A traditional pub in every sense of the word nestled on a quiet back street of Llandudno.

One of the oldest pubs in the town dating back to the early 1800s. ‘The Ship’ is as much the local’s local as it is the visitor’s retreat, offering the perfect afternoon stop, evening out or weekend escape. Our bar has an array of great local ales, quality wines and soft drinks. We also stock the usual and sometimes not so usual selection of whiskies, gins, rums and other tipples.

Dine with us

At the Snowdon we don't try to be fine dining or anything close but what we do serve is a carefully created homemade menu of flavoursome dishes that take influences from all over the world. From our selection of nibbles that marry perfectly with a few drinks in the afternoon through to our hearty mains for those looking for a something a bit more substantial. Our menu is served daily until 6.30pm so makes us the perfect lunch stop or early evening bite to eat.

Beers a plenty

One thing we know well is our beers! We pride ourselves on the quality of our pint and the selection we offer, using both local breweries that are literally a few miles away to interesting and quirky breweries that can be found in all corners of the country. We do love to serve a local pint or two as we are proud of our Welsh ales and want to shout about them to all who will listen.

We've also got a great selection of lagers and craft beers with our choice of craft changing regularly depending on what takes our fancy.

Sit back and relax

The pub has been a firm favourite amongst locals and visitors who have enjoyed frequenting there for many years. Our aim was to create a pub that we wished we had in walking distance of our own home, with a cracking selection of quality cask ales, quality wines available by the glass, a quality bit of food, a warm and cosy feel (rather like an old pair of slippers) and all this hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the high street, so one can be assured of a friendly and buzzy atmosphere where the conversation flows.

Amazing place set back from the front away from the busy noise and literally 5 minutes from the promenade. The Chef and staff are so accommodating and friendly. We had the seafood platter here twice it's that good.

This place never fails to impress us. From the decor to the beers and of course the great food. We thoroughly enjoyed our choice of food during curry week and our compliments to the chef.

Our Story

Our Story

Tudno Street was the first street built in the ‘modern’ Llandudno around the 1840s, from where Llandudno expanded under the guidance of Lord Mostyn to the grand Victorian resort which we have today.
